Collecting Consumer Debts: Public Workshop to Explore Issues

On October 10-11, 2007, the FTC will host a public workshop “to explore changes in the debt collection industry and examine their impact on consumers and businesses.” There is no charge for the workshop, and no pre-registration is required. Attendance in person is not required; the event will be Webcast at www.ftc.gov. Original research, surveys, and academic papers regarding consumer debt collection issues will be received by FTC up until September 7, 2007.
