This special seminar, for mortgage servicing
company in-house legal counsel and mortgage servicing
attorneys only, will provide important updates and
discussion on our industry's most critical legal issues.
This year, our speakers will include a number of knowledgeable USFN
attorneys who will lead and contribute to each of the 6 sessions on the

This seminar will open with an Overview of Industry Issues, including
impactful litigation, legislation and other issues such as mortgage
fraud. There will also be 4 concurrent breakout sessions, providing you
an opportunity to focus on areas of special interest to you and your
company in a highly interactive roundtable setting. Our knowledgeable
panelists will drill down on practical aspects related to:

Foreclosure Defenses & Trends, such as payoff issues,
mortgage trust scams & identity theft;

Bankruptcy Issues, including a discussion of the impact of
the recent Bankruptcy Reform Act;

MERS, including an overview of the registry and the legal
issues associated with its use; and

Credit Reporting & Legal Issues, reviewing FCRA and the
FACT Act.
The closing session will consist of a moderated session with
panelists responding to questions on FDCPA issues and cases, FTC
Enforcement “post-Fairbanks,” and Wall Street’s take
on mortgage servicing issues.
