Join USFN for October’s
Understanding HAMP and PTFA Workshop
USFN invites you to join us for a
daylong workshop on October 28, 2009 at the Embassy Suites in Dallas to
discuss the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) and Protecting
Tenants at Foreclosure Act (PTFA). This workshop, designed
for mortgage servicing industry professionals at all levels, is intended
to facilitate understanding of and dialogue on the complex issues
surrounding HAMP and PTFA.
As many know, HAMP is part of the
U.S. Treasury's Home Affordability & Stability Plan and is designed
to help at-risk homeowners by providing a framework for consistent
handling of modifications. GSE loans as well as non-GSE guaranteed
loans are affected by the mandates of HAMP. The process for
handling each type of loan is different and requires different
procedures to be in place. It is for this reason that HAMP
education has become so critical in the servicing industry
Those familiar with USFN’s
educational events know that our sessions are always informative and
timely, providing attendees with high quality facts and ideas to perform
their duties. Participants are encouraged to bring their questions
and challenging scenarios, and prepare to have an open dialogue and
receive assistance from a dynamic group of the industry’s best,
including legal counsel that will be on-hand to offer advice.
The USFN HAMP Workshop will
explore HAMP from many different angles that will be covered by a
variety of expert guests. Our expert participants will include
representatives from HUD*, Fannie*, Freddie and a special keynote
presentation by Laurie Maggiano from the Department of Treasury.
We'll also discuss how to work with HAMP when bankruptcy is involved.
For those interested in Tenant Protection, we also have a two-part super
session that will cover all aspects of the PTFA.
Don't miss out on the opportunity
to explore HAMP and PTFA from many different angles and learn from
others what works, and what does not.
